Furniture Music
Furniture Music is a quintet album of my original music released in October 2026 featuring the exceptional talents of Niran Dasika on trumpet, Flora Carbo on alto saxophone, Sam Anning on bass and Lewis Pierre on drums.
Furniture Music is a collection of songs written specifically for listening at home on the stereo. Like well-designed furniture, this music is intended to provide comfort, offer respite from the busyness of everyday life, and elevate the experience of being at home.
While it isn't background music, it is best experienced communally, in the company of others. These songs make no claim to lofty ideals, nor are they inspired by highfalutin concepts or elaborate systems. Instead, they were born from the beautiful mundanity of everyday life, taking their names from people, places, and books.
This record is best enjoyed with a cup of coffee beside a sun-drenched window, on the couch or a nice big chair, while the people you love quietly orbit around you.
LPthree
LPthree is a collaborative album by Lewis Pierre, Matt Hoyne and Paddy Fitzgerald. Recorded in June 2023, the music documents many years of playing together and features original music from all three artists.

Recorded live at Uptown Jazz Cafe as part of the Emergence series, this album features high-energy, swinging original music featuring Matt Steele on piano, Robbie Finch on bass and Lewis Pierre on drums. This recording was made possible with support from the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. Matt Hoyne Trio EP
Recorded in a few hours in 2017, this 5 track recording documents the music of countless hours of playing and practising with dear friends Aaron McCoullough on drums and Jordan Tarento on bass. Mostly first takes, we played a collection of songs that had been regulars on gigs with the music feeling comfortable and fun. Special thanks to Wayde Suchodolskiy for helping make it happen. I’m so glad that this exists and I’m still so proud of the music we made together - enjoy on the house!
