Slow Poke are excited to be performing as part of the Half Bent Music Festival next weekend!! We’re up on the Friday night at the Brunswick Scout Hall and there is so much amazing music to check out! This Sunday!! Slow Poke are back at @thejazzlabbennttslane presented by @melbjazzcoop!! With @smallspacemusic and @spirograph_studies, music from 7.30pm, tickets available in bio! … Slow Poke make music slowly; not necessarily slow music but music that takes its time, in no rush to prove itself. Led by guitarist Matt Hoyne, this trio is an outlet for exploring melody, texture and space more deeply; with a repertoire of simple original songs and some re-imaginings of music by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Rufus Wainwright. An ambling take on the jazz guitar trio, Slow Poke features the immeasurable talents of Tamara Murphy on bass and special guest, Ronny Ferella on drums.
