Next week, I’m delighted to be playing some of my music with deadset legends @hollyyymoore and @ronnyferella at @uptown_jazz_cafe Thursday June 5th, music from 8.30pm 🥰😍🥰 see you there!
Resurrecting this lovely band for a gig in a month’s time - @spirograph_studies, @kyrieandersonmusic and I did a few gigs a couple of years ago and I’ve always wanted to do more!! Presented by @melbjazzcoop, we’ll be at @thejazzlab on Sunday June 22nd. Slow Poke make music slowly; not necessarily slow music but music that takes its time, in no rush to prove itself. Led by guitarist Matt Hoyne, this trio is an outlet for exploring melody, texture and space more deeply; with a repertoire of simple original songs and some re-imaginings of music by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Rufus Wainwright. An ambling take on the jazz guitar trio, Slow Poke features the immeasurable talents of Tamara Murphy on bass and Kyrie Anderson on drums.
Keen to make some music with these very fine folks next week at @uptown_jazz_cafe! Featuring: @oscarebruten on tenor saxophone @spirograph_studies on bass @lewph on drums and lil old me on guitar! 8.30pm kick off, tickets available on the door!!
